What's the school holidays without some truly revolting weather? Today we had our first wet day of these wintery school holidays. We had 3 friends over for a playdate.

One of the visitors is an utter train enthusiast, and first request is always "Can I play with the trains?" Never takes long from him starting to set up, for the rest of the kids to gravitate and take over in bossy fashion help.

While this might not be the most amazing photo in the world, I chose it because it reflected the day. The grim dank day outside, with the wet deck out the door. The snotty noses that are prevalent this time of year. Plus the lovely collaborative play that occurred most of the day...in between some good shouting and slamming of doors Not from me!
