Minaret

This is the King Fahd Mosque in Edinburgh. The mosque and Islamic centre was designed by Basil Al-Bayati, and took more than six years to complete at a cost of £3.5m, paid for largely by King Fahad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia. The main hall can hold over one thousand worshippers, with women praying on a balcony overlooking the hall. The mosque holds chandeliers and a vast carpet, with very little furniture.

There is a Mosque Kitchen attached where the food is delicious.

Off now for a few days R and R in the village that William Wordsworth described as "the loveliest spot that man hath ever found". Any guesses?
