Soccer in a Sauna

Since our heatwave persists, I've been getting up early to take my dog, Poppy on her morning walk. This morning there was a generous helping of mist rising off of the park lawn. When I lived in the Pacific Northwest, a mist like this would have been somewhat refreshing, but here in the midwest, this kind of moisture in the air means only one thing - humidity. Fortunately I live in an air conditioned home, but stepping outside during this heatwave has been like entering into a sauna. Anyway, this shot shows a couple of determined soccer players who seemed to want a get a little practice in before the sun cranked up the furnace. With all of the mist rising from the ground, it's a little difficult to see their soccer ball, but its there.
