Quantity and quality

Jarvises are partial to cocktails from time to time, especially when cruising the seven seas and all drinks are included. Even for the dedicated Total Jarvis, beer can sometimes lose its lustre. Hence the retreat to the Martini Bar aboard the Celebrity Constellation on the last night of the Arctic Circle cruise and the ordering of the 18-drink cocktail flight - it was a mere US$15 a head between three of us, but as we'd all paid for the drinks package that got us cocktails up to a value of $12 we only had to pay the $3 difference. That's what you call a bargain, folks, especially with the US dollar currently valued at 1.365 Norwegian serviettes. Even non-Jarvises would have to have a go at drinking their share at those prices - and the spectacle of watching the drinks being poured from 18 cocktail shakers simultaneously was worth the full price alone. Three cheers for the three fabulous bartenders in the Martini Bar.
