The red flag

I have a feeling this may be too small a version of this photo to show the red flag in the left hand top quadrant, against the dark clouds. I was very pleased with the sort of Ken Lochhead quality of the composition (he's an artist who uses tiny points of red in his watercolour paintings to focus the composition) - one of the few times I've actually worked out the whole thing before I took the photo!

The path in the foreground leads along the back of the golf course in Blackwaterfoot, Arran, over the fields and the top of Drumadoon Head to the King's Caves, where Robert the Bruce is supposed to have seen the spider that encouraged him to go on with the struggle which culminated in the victory for the Scots at Bannockburn.
