16 butterflies on the Butterfly Count at lunchtime today, although the weather took a turn for the worse as I set off and dropped to only 14 degrees.

The ringlet aphantopus hyperantus is among the top 10 commonest butterflies in the UK, according to the Big Butterfly Count results from last year. I don't see them often and still think they are a bit special.

It's feeding on a hemp agrimony flower-head that's not quite out yet.
