It's only a model

8:30 and there's a new thing in the house.

A new television. Shiny and bright, it's a little larger than our previous one.

But, it's just a thing. Just something to display something with.

It's going to be more efficient that our previous television and it's also not going to whine like a banshee from time to time, as the old was prone to doing.

One bug-bear. As we haven't got an aerial on this house, there's no signal to meet some the television's connectivity needs.

And there's no physical power button. I'm not a fan of leaving things on standby, so it goes off at the wall when not in use.

Okay, two bug-bears.

That aside, I feel very blessed to have a new television.

*****

The title is a reference to Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The throwaway quip by Patsy (servant of Arthur, King of the Britons) following the discover of Camelot. Shortly before the song is sung.

Also, check out the Lego version if you haven't seen it already.
