wood, dirt and plastic

It's 8:30pm on a Sunday night.

At the end of a warm and sun-kissed day, I'm clearing up and watering in the garden. Mainly because it's been a bit of a packed day.

A relaxed morning with the weeWeir (!) followed by some drums & percussion playing at KCC (thank you, Mr Haxton), then a dash to collect some slabs from my MiL's garden and take them home.

It was time to commence operation replace-the-shed.

Just under 11 months ago when we moved in, the shed was great. Loads of space to store *stuff*. Now I've re-ordered where things live and we have some new *stuff* in the garden (climbing frame & slide) the shed was a little too big. It was also beginning to show it's age. in places.

So, it was emptied, dismantled, removed from position, the site cleared, a base of slabs laid, and a new, smaller, plastic shed built. All with the help of one of my brother-in-laws.

Still some work to be done, but we have reclaimed four square meters of garden and less of a shadow across the garden later in the day.

Result.

So grateful for getting it done!
