One Day to Go!

We are all waiting eagerly for the newly refurbished National Museum of Scotland to reopen tomorrow.

It's been a huge task and a long time coming.

This is David Turner who is Works Supervisor for Stone Engineering. He has been working on the building as part of a large and diverse team working to the deadline opening ceremony tomorrow.

David was very welcoming, just like the sign. A warm smile and we chatted for a few minutes about the museum.

He said it was fantastic inside. Spectacularly stunning.

I told him about my three year old girl who is desperate to see inside. Whenever I talk about the museum with her she bounces up and down as if filled with springs making gleeful squealing noises.

David said that as the project has been coming to completion they had to stop work briefly to allow VIPs to see inside. Then they had to stop for VVIPs to see inside. He was just waiting for a visit from VVVIPs to see just what kind of person gets apportioned three "very s"!

Well, tomorrow us normal visitors and fans of the museum will get to finally see inside.

I can't wait.
