Beautiful silvery Tay,
With your landscapes, so lovely and gay,
Along each side of your waters, to Perth all the way;
No other river in the world has got scenery more fine,
Only I am told the beautiful Rhine,
And so on and so on and so on...

This was McGonagall's "beautiful silvery Tay" (actually it's out of sight in this photo, hidden in the dip between the fields and the trees) at half-past seven this morning. A view west from a layby on the A9 between Dunkeld and Ballinluig.
