Slug Time

The summer drizzle was bringing out the slugs down by the River Esk. I'm sure most of the slugs round here used to be black but now the majority seem to be brown. This large pale example is rarer still. My eldest daughter was with me and she hates slugs. Rather cruelly she said she would choose them as the one animal she would nominate for extinction. By contrast I find slugs fascinating (except when they sneak under the back door into the kitchen). In fact I think this is my third slug-centred blip - feel free to trawl though and check!

Full Sluggy Glory!
