The North York Moors Railway

The `George Stephenson' loco leaving Whitby at 6pm for its last run of the day to Pickering. The North York Moors Railway is largely run by volunteers, though it does run a regular service across the Moor and there must be many people in the small communities along its route that rely on it to get them into town. I think the steam train is mainly run during the summer and I've been on the route when it's been operated by an elderly diesel train.

I was back in Whitby to collect my mum and dad from holiday. One night sleep over for me and then back home on Saturday.
