An English-Polish dictionary I bought at Christmas 2006 for my old workplace, to facilitate communication with the influx of new Polish co-workers we'd had in the previous twelve months. Unveiled during a hazy staff party in mid-December of that year, it was immediately and inevitably used by both English and Poles in exactly the same way that every other dictionary in the history of humanity has been used: i.e. to look up rude words.

The fact that it's been split cleanly in half shows how thoroughly it's been perused down the years; truly a fiver well spent. It survives to this day at my new workplace, where Piotr still occasionally teaches us the finer points of Warsaw-standard cursing with its help.
