La vida de Annie

By Annie

Sunday again...

... so a "view" of the church opposite from my front door. Messing with this I was thinking about how we all see the same things differently; it's the cause of so much unhappiness in the world. If only we could just connect our minds with usb cables and know exactly what was the truth in there without the all-too human misunderstandings and projections. Rumi had some thoughts on this:

Since in order to speak, one must first listen, learn to speak by listening.
Rumi

O tongue, you are an endless treasure. O tongue, you are also an endless disease.
Rumi

Many of the faults you see in others, dear reader, are your own nature reflected in them. As the Prophet said, 'The faithful are mirrors to one another.'
Rumi

Whoever gives reverence receives reverence.
Rumi

Just noticed that my year-ago blip was taken on a wonderful belly-dancing weekend. How I wish I could do that again exactly as it was then.
