Little Moreton Hall, Congleton

As we wandered around this Tudor home, we could hear the sounds of music being performed by Piva, a four piece group of Renaissance musicians.

We strolled around the moat, sat and drank tea in the gardens, and inspected the garderobes, the Tudor version of inside toilets, and my daughter and husband played 'Nine Man's Morris' (a Tudor board game).

The floors in the house sloped in all directions, but despite there being very little furniture in the house, it felt very homely.

We had a great afternoon out!
