What's better than best friends coming round? Best friends who you've not seen in 3 months with their 6 month old baby, that's what.

My mate of 16 years popped over with his lady and two kids for lunch, and it was ace. As well as catching up, I got to take a load of baby photos and improve my knowledge of shooting with my 50mm. Tricky things little 'uns, but I love shooting kids, the best subjects ever by far.

This one captures the way she is looking at everything right now, pure innocence at the fact that everything is new. Plus in the original (larger) file I can see myself in her right eye taking the picture - well, I think that's cool!

Bless her, she's the calmest baby I have every seen.
