Not a good day

We had a lovely afternoon out at Auntie V's house, the girls were playing in the paddling pool and on all Nessie's toys, that was the great part of the day.

When we were driving home, we got to about 1 mile away from our house and came round the corner and an out of control jeep with a trailer attached was swerving all over the road and heading downhill straight for us. I was driving, there was no where to go, off the side of the road was a steep hill with a railway line at the bottom. The jeep hit our car at the driver side and took off the rear axle and wheel, we then continued about 100 metres without a back wheel while the jeep flipped over. Once we came to a stop the car filled with black smoke. My husband and I quickly got the girls out and called an ambulance. We were so blessed to all be unhurt (apart from me being a bit stiff) and amazingly the 3 men in the jeep were all fine too.

We had to wait while the police took statements and all the necessary stuff, the driver admitted liablilty, I think the tyre on the trailer had blew out. The main thing is the girls were absolutely fine and no one else was hurt. Did not sleep last night as I was still in shock a bit, shows how quickly something can happen.
