There may be pheasant on the menu soon

See that bare patch at the front? There's a dip in it. There used to be some salad greens and radish seedlings there. They were coming along nicely. Then the pheasants who treat my garden as their playground and feeding station (maybe I've been too generous in the past) thought they'd turn it into a dust bath. The windmill that Harriet bought me in Great Yarmouth last year obviously isn't as good as a very scary scarecrow. I've filled the space with some twiggy prunings and will buy another packet of salad seeds tomorrow. Damn birds!
