Reheatersafetyvalves in HDR

Unit EC 20:
These are two safetyvalves in the outlet of the reheater to the medium pressure steamturbine.
There are four pipes (two at each side of the boiler) coming from the reheater.
In the reheater the steam, coming back from the High Pressure steamturbine is reheated back to the original 540°C (1004°F) and is sent back to the medium pressure part of the steamturbine.
Why are all the pipes hanging in springs?
Well, the boiler expands downward to about 30 centimeters when it's completely filled and under pressure. The piping has to be able to follow that. The pipes expand and shrink too when being heated or cooled down and the springs let them do that.
By the size of the fire extinguisher you can see how huge the pipes with insulation) are. The unisolated pipes are the outlets to the dampers on the roof; the don't have to be insulated because that steam is wasted anyway.
