Left hand, right hand

Inverness/Dunkeld

Last day of our holiday was spent walking around Inverness, with quick stops at the castle and museum to see the Pictish carvings. We then visited Culloden Battlefield. Very sad and tragic place, with a very sombre feeling but a very tastefully executed and interesting vistor centre. Left hand even spotted someone he knew acting in one of the exhibits! As we walked around the moor itself, right hand was defeated by the technology of the handheld guide and by flying ants. Took lots of atmospheric photos here but they didn't make the cut. Typical after the slim pickings of the last couple of days!

This was taken while we sat eating chips on the banks of the Tay in Dunkeld - scene of another Jacobite defeat! The last hurrah of our wee Scottish holiday.
