Day 322

Walked past Summerhall today, and couldn't fail to see this amazing mural on the building for the festival. The building was sold this year, and for at least this summer it's going to be a cool and hip fringe venue.

However, when I walked along to the main door, I saw that this plaque is the only thing left to say that the vet school was here. And I became all nostalgic. Whilst the new teaching building is FABULOUS, Summerhall has been the home of the 'Dick' since 1916. People know the building as the 'Dick'. And in those 95 years, somewhere in the region of 9500 'Dick' vets have passed through it's doors.

An end of an era.
