Swiss National Day

Today I went to Parc des Bastions where there was lots of music, bunting, traditional bands and dancers, gigantic cow bells, soup urns big enough to boil children, red stuff everywhere and of course mountains of sausages. In the evening I went to Cologny, a pretty village, for more traditional celebrations and to take part in their parade. The march ended up on a hill where a bonfire was lit. After singing national songs we watched the fireworks from all around the lake.
