Plus ça change...

A project

Happily, this is not the MBH. A slow start to the morning for everyone but Mr B and I popped out to the MBH to do a quick DIY job involving marine ply (if you don't know what that is, you probably don't need to - to be honest - Mr B treats it like a wonder material and sings its praises at the slightest provocation). Anyway, the marine ply was at our rented house, so we had the delight of driving over to the MBH with a two metre length of marine ply poking up out of the top of the convertible. Not sure that's the best thing for aerodynamic fuel efficiency.

Quick chat with the electrician then, after the job was done and some shopping was purchased, home for lunch then a quick walk. Our kids were predictably well behaved when left with Lesley for a few hours, and predictably impossible whenever we were around! And Conor fell and skinned his knee. That aside, and the overwhelming heat aside too, it was a fun walk. Lots of fruit to spot in the hedgerows - blackberries, apples, sloes and something I didn't recognise.

A slow evening of duck, roast potatoes and an early night beckons.
