Quiet Blipper

The Night Before...

Friday night. After dark and much merriment and wine and cheese (after a brilliant meal) on the deck of a friend on Bowen Island. Five of us were celebrating the end of a work week (for some) and the beginning of a long weekend. There was much excitement around a mid morning start on Sat to sail up the sunshine coast....five of us on our 40 foot Beneteau sailboat.

It had been a long full busy wonderful day. Kayaking, swimming in the ocean (it was very cold but refreshing) meeting P who had sailed the boat over across the Strait to meet us, provisioning the boat, etc... so it was late when I blipped.

A quote from an article on photography comes to mind... every visual moment is unique. Yes and every moment is unique and this one captured the merriment of the moment and the anticipation of the coming adventure!! Not a great shot so cropped and coloured to try to enhance the magic of the moment.
