Coasting.

A fantastic fifteen hour voyage along the coast of British Columbia, starting on a high when I looked out of my window and saw a huge black bear on the jetty around 100 feet away. By the time I grabbed my camera, it was gone into the night.
Apart from spectacular scenery, we saw lots of whales, mostly Humpbacks, who performed a beautiful ballet for us ferry passengers, leaping and pirouetting gracefully before crashing back into the water with a gigantic splash.
We passed abandoned canneries, native settlements and exclusive fishing camps, all looking so tiny beneath the mountains surrounding us. Fantastic.
