First trip to the British Museum

We went to see the Afghanistan exhibition today - it was excellent despite having to watch the opening video about six times in a row because D decided that he wanted a feed! There's so much more to Afghanistan than dust, fanatics and the Buddhas of Bamian - an outpost of ancient Greece and some fabulous gold jewellery for example (D particularly liked the sparkly gold). The artifacts had come from the National Museum of Afghanistan - the curators there had hidden them when the troubles started which saved them.

Also D's first ride in a bus. He wasn't very excited about that and slept - mind you I would have too in such a comfy sheepskin lined pushchair and on such a hot day.
