Beach

It was such a nice day today and the kids needed cheering up so we went to the beach at Lunderston Bay. I go knitting on a Wednesday morning so the kids have been going swimming at the waterfront in Greenock. Today though it was very busy and bus loads of big boys meant my two didn't have quite as much fun as normal, they were also disappointed that their friends hadn't come so were a bit miserable when I picked them up.

Fortunately an afternoon in the sun fair cheered them up, they were right in the water, built sandcastles, collected shells and seaglass, sunbathed and did some art with an environmental artist who was letting children make pictures to take home from litter and finds from the beach.

There's nothing like spending time outdoors with your toes in the sand and the sun on your face to lift the spirits.
