Cabbage

This is one of several plants on my balcony that I obtained from a Pflanzentauschboerse (plant swap meet) in Cologne Dellbruck earlier in the year. People bring along plants and cuttings they don't want and take away things that other people have brought. Or, if you have nothing to bring, you can take things for a small donation to charity.

When I got this it was tiny, and we thought it might be a Kohlrabi. But it is turning out to be a cabbage. Whatever it is, the caterpillars really enjoyed it, before they went for their flying and swimming lessons.
