Little & Large...

Old and New.
St Mary's Church, I think I'm right in saying is one of the oldest churches in Berlin, right up there with Nikolaikirche. It was a very gothic church inside, all sad looking angels and freaky skulls... definitely one way to make you sit up and listen in a service, just from the unsettling stares of the fat little cherubs.
The TV tower's in the background, which we did go up... not for people who suffer a fear of heights, it gave a perfect 360 degree near birds-eye view of the city, absolutely incredible.
We went to the Museum Island after that and mein Gott! They are spectacular, they really beat all the others, the Louvre, Musee D'orsay, Naples National Archeological, even our own National Galleries in London. Their collections in the New National Gallery are fabulous but the one to see is the Pergamon, you walk in and boom. Mind-blowing reconstruction of the Pergamon Altar and a depiction of the Gods' War against the Titans, albeit missing a few pieces but the size is just, wow.
I honestly can't describe it and my photos do it no justice, it's got the Ishtar Gate and part of Babylon's Processional Way (stunning blue tiles) and, well, you should go see for yourself.
