Night time in Venice

We have finally returned from the world's most expensive holiday, Venice, Florence and Rome over 12 nights. It was always an expensive place to visit but the Euro rate at the moment makes it just mental.

Anyway, we had a great time doing all the touristy things and some general wandering around the three cities before returning to the predictable cold and rain. Lol. It would be funny if it wasn't so predictable.

I have many many shots to consider for each day, some quite decent but most are 'holiday snaps' so you may have to follow one backblip a day for a while as I get back into the routine of work as well as fitting this in somehow. I may not even do a current blip until I have backblipped the holiday. Ahhh the freedom of not blipping every single day.

So...backblip 1 is the first day/night in Venice and a night shot of a Gondola. There was something magical about these, certainly at night, as in the daytime they did have to compete with larger boats, water taxis and water buses, going about their business much like normal traffic on our roads. Not so romantic, but in the darker evening light, much calmer.

Basic Gondola ride, around £100 for about an hour, the boat can fit between 4 and 6 people. Not cheap but a 'must do' when in Venice, or at least that's what Mrs K said. Lol.
