Monarch

Hello :)
I spotted a monarch today. I haven't seen one all year and I check the milkweed out back every few days. This one came to visit my butterfly bush on the patio. I didn't realize it would be so difficult to photograph the little guy. Well first off, it's windy today and the branches of the bush wouldn't stay still. Second, he wouldn't open his wings...he kept them closed. He would only open them to fly away and those photos were too blurry. He was beautiful!

hummingbirds are still active
