Crab Spider and Potential Prey

I never thought I'd be showing off my smalls on Blipfoto!

Lots of butterflies around today now that the Big Butterfly Count is over.

This is not up to my usual pictorial standard, but I felt it had a story to tell nonetheless.

Here, a small heath and a small copper dice with death feeding from the same flowerhead as is occupied by a crab spider. A green-veined white also visited. Fortunately for them, they all got away unscathed.

If it stays fine, I'll be going back for more butterflies tomorrow.
