Knackered

This is the back of a beautiful old building that has been empty for nearly 15 years now. I was lucky to get the keys to it once, Inside it has peeling, ornate old plaster friezes and wood panelling that are slowly rotting away. It has gold Cyrillic lettering on some doors from it's last moment of glory as the Russian embassy in 'Letter to Brezhnev'.

It has had three owners in as many years and is slowly falling down and being neglected. It will probably become so unsafe it will be pulled down and replaced by another wall of glass.

We are allowing our cities to become repetitive, soulless, identical architectural franchises.
