Malling Down

Yesterday's blip was a view of the south facing slopes of the chalk downs to the east of Lewes. Today its the same outlier of chalk hills but the north facing slopes. Malling Down dominates the east of Lewes and is a fantastic site for butterflies, especially the Adonis Blue. Yesterday we had a bland 'tupperware' sky that rather spoilt any attempt at landscape photography but today its a classic blue sky and white clouds.

My allotment lies in the shadow of this wonderful chalk hill and, when I look up from digging the potatoes, this is the view I have.
