On Holiday - Day 4

When in Scotland, you just never know what you might bump into...

Nessie's Big Brother keeps watch over the Crinan Canal on the West coast, where I stopped for lunch on my way to Oban.

There is a splendid ancient woodland walk, which abounded with Scotch Argos and Speckled wood butterflies, (see blipfolio) and an abundance of dragon flies.

I also met a charming man who must have one of the best jobs in the area, opening one of the swing bridges over the Crinan canal.

In the afternoon I went to the standing stones in Kilmartin Glen and Carnasserie Castle and then on to the B&B I booked through Get Back to Me - obviously!
