A very sunny afternoon in the dales, we plonked ourselves down on the lawn outside the bunkhouse and were immediately attacked by midgeys and went back to the safety of indoors.

Amenities are better than I expected, though I don't fit inside a bunk and will have to put my mattress on the floor. There is a decent fridge freezer and cooker as well as the BBQ for tomorrow.

Stayed out late trying to take pictures of the sky which was quite resplendednt so far away from city lights and on such a clear night. One could even see the milky way. It seems my biggest problem with the PEN is that you can't reliably set the focus to take pictures of the sky at night, and rather worryingly what I assume should be infinity focus does not get one pictures with the stars in focus. A better lens is in order, one with old fashioned markings and a focus ring that has a proper stop and start point rather than just spinning infinitely.
