Flight to gold

With all the press financial pages threatening global melt down and talking about flight to "safe havens" thought I'd better check my bullion stock. Seems to consist of only a 1911 George V sovereign and a 1913 half sovereign which is on the coin weigher - I suppose these were used to make sure coins hadn't been clipped. The coins come originally from my grandfather, who was a book-keeper in a calico printworks, and then through my Dad. Mind you if things are really going the way the doom-mongers say I might be better off stocking up on potatoes and baked beans.
