Re-Vision: A Photo Journal

Lucy Fest-day one

We left home this morning at 4:45 and got to Jamestown, NY about 6 hrs. later...just in time for my daughter to get to the archive photo opportunity at Lucy Fest. There was a collection of Lucille Balle memoribilia available for members of the Lucy-Desi Center. She was able to hold (after donning a set of white gloves, of course) Lucille's Emmy, the trumpet she played in "Mame", a commemorative plaque for the movie, "Stone Pillow", and stand next to the blue dress Ms. Ball wore in "Here's Lucy". Very big deal for my little fan.

The marquis in the photo is in front of the Reg Lenna Civic Center, where tomorrow we will be seeing a live broadcast of the radio show (including a renactment of a scene from "My Favorite Husband" directed by Greg Oppenheimer, son of the creator of the "I Love Lucy" show. We met one of the actresses in tomorrow's performance at lunch and had a nice conversation with her.

We also went on a bus tour throughout Jamestown and Celoron, visited the musuem, attended a parade, and topped off a long day by watching "Forever Darling" on an outdoor movie screen.
