Cannons

Being on leave from work this week and it being Cowes week, I was able to browse through the town with my husband, taking in the relaxed holiday atmosphere!

Listening to the buskers singing and playing their instruments, watching the crews coming into the marina after racing their yachts.

Always a pleasure to walk along Cowes parade looking at the boats and yachts, stopping at the numerous stalls that suddenly appear just for the week.
Always stand outside the Royal Yacht Squadron to admire the highly polished cannons that are fired at the start of the races.

Yes a lovely day, proud to be a true Islander...that knows nothing about sailing. But enjoys mixing with the rich and famous.
