The Violent Wind

It's all kicking off at Toad Hall now the Wild Wooders have showed up. They've torched Toad's beloved motorcar (which is probably for the best, the way he drove the fucker), looted Toad Hall itself, and spent hours lobbing bricks at Mole, Ratty and Badger, who were drafted in as special constables.

No-one's really happy about Badger being there in the first place, the way he keeps on about "simply hating society". Everyone reckons he's probably an anarchist. Ratty gives the general impression that he'd rather be joining in with the looting, while Mole's a decent type but not very handy in a punch-up. It could be a long night on the riverbank.

Who knows? If Toad had just paid his enormous tax-bill, rather than being let off the hook by his good mate Otter Osborne, maybe the austerity that's hit the river would have been less severe.

Or maybe they'd have gone at it anyway, because that's what animals do.
