Life in Newburgh on Ythan

If the Lord is Willing

Originally known as Gamrie, Gardenstown was founded in 1720 by Alexander Garden specifically as a fishing village. The village is perched at the base of steep slopes and cliff on the Moray coast.
Like all fishing folk, the inhabitants of Gamrie tend to take their Christianity seriously, and there are several places of worship tucked among the steep, narrow streets. This hall offers, I guess, a rather austere version with few frills, but only on the Lord's Day.
