Help!!

Downloaded a free Lightroom preset from Lightroom Killer Tips. Tried it on this because I was totally struggling for ideas today
Which led me to wondering...."How do others plan their blips?"
I work from home, (that's good) and don't get out and about during the day. (that's bad from a blip point of view)
Do others take a bunch of photos during the day and decide later on which they will use for blipping?
Or do they have a particular blip in mind from the outset?
(I think this is a "how long is a piece of string question")

....Is bigger better?
