Mike Hughes

This is Mike Hughes at Transition Extreme Skatepark in Aberdeen. I've tried shooting a bit different lately, especially in this indoor setting. The normal close up way of photographing extreme sports is so tired. I've tried to add a bit of impact having it really dark with one off camera flash. It still shows all the vital details - the gap, what the athlete is doing. But it's a bit more dramatic. Shot on a 7d with a 50mm lens.
