Depth of field exercise...

Oh dear, move along now, nothing to see here.

The kids were in the Centre de Loisirs (holiday club thingy) today - despite floods of tears from Conor when we dropped him off. Hate that, but know all the time that he'll be fine once I've gone. Still hate it though.

Anyway, we got on with lots of work, building this unit in the main. It's going to be our main kitchen unit - worktop and shelves. The frame wasn't too tricky - once we were happy with the measuring and Mr B had given me 'How to be useful on a Building Site: Lesson 62a: using your weight effectively'. However he had to learn that my knee is a more useful brace against drilling than my shoulder (being fatter, basically). Anyway, the base of this cabinet is a series of narrow oak pieces, glued into a slatted shelf. It's hidden under this pile of tubs which are helping the glue set well. Great photo, eh? I'll show you the finished piece when it is, err, finished.
