Red Rose

This is a miniature red rose and ten seconds before I pressed the shutter there was an insect in the centre; alas it disappeared before I could captured it so you have just the flower instead.

I did not have to look after my grandchildren today, they are going on holiday at the weekend and their father was working from home today, so I have been to Cambridge with my husband, but did not take a camera!

We had quite a lot of rain yesterday evening as the sky from yesterday's blip indicated; today it has not rained all day except for a few drops while I was driving home. However, the sky is now overcast and it looks as though more rain will fall tonight.
