Dipsacus fullonum

An unexpected treat last night, Judy, the Hungarian, took us out for supper as a thank you for putting her up. We headed into Durrus where the local grocery store also does evening meals - and very good it was too. The place was heaving with locals and my risotto with gorganzola (!!!) was extremely good, as were the veg which were cooked to crisp perfection. The only complaint is the place is festooned with widescreen TVs. During the day the news channels show endless depressing things while you're eating but at night we were entertained with pictures of goldfish and waterfalls - strange.

Hints of blue sky appeared today but didn't last long, by the afternoon the mizzle had set in. Dug up the garlic and planted some spring cabbage.

My nails are now spotless!! A very interesting set of comments from yesterday - evenly divided between the yuck, and the admiration for hard graft. Son number 2 was seriously disturbed!! Apparently he has a thing about dirty nails - didnt know that!!

Have you worked out what today's image is?? Surprisingly beautiful and exotic when viewed close up
