Anzac day

Like many other Kiwi and Aussie blippers I wanted to blip something reflective of Anzac day. Thought my pictures of the war memorial rather trite and others on here have done better than me.remember So instead I chose to blip the town bowling green, which on any given day would be teaming with OAP's having a good time. Today at 11am they were next door at the war memorial remembering the fallen. As I looked out over the long shadows and to the mountains in the distance, on such a glorious day, I could not help remembering those who never saw this beyond their teens and twenties. And I will remain eternally grateful that they helped create a world in which some of us at least feel safe and free.
