Monte Casino

A back blip.

Saturday we went to Monte Casino. The monastery on top of the mountain had the most spectacular cathedral. Spectacular in that the inside was decorated in the most amazing different coloured marbles. Never seen anything like it! We also visited the British War cemetery.

Then it was lunch with Paula's parents. Her mother had prepared a huge lunch for us. We had great difficulty finishing what was on our plates, it was delicious! For further details of the meal go to Natalia Sedova's site. She posted a blip yesterday! I think she might be posting another today!
