Long Slow Distance

Painted Lady

Our final three days in beautiful South Bohemia were spent in the fantastically adorned town of Ceský Krumlov, which boasts this elaborately painted tower, part of the imposing castle complex, narrow winding streets, a snaking river (its weirs the final stop for rafters and canoeists such as us drifting downstream for several hours, with several beer stops en route), a brewery, wonderful restaurants serving delicious food. I could go on.

We were here for a spectacular open-air concert by jazz legend, trumpeter Arturo Sandoval. The icing on the very colourful cake that was our visit to this vibrant town.
