Having her cake...

and eating it.

Claire is 12 years old today and for once its been a chilled out, relaxing day. No set agenda, no pressure just going with the flow.

I'll spare you the gory details of the torture joy of her birth all those years ago.

At Claire's request her birthday tea was an Indian takeaway and a carrot cake.

Unusual combo, but tasty all the same.


Mr G and I celebrated her birthday last night with a glass or two, hence the lack of comments yesterday. I'll catch up over the next couple of days.
